So who's been listening to the show lately? Heard any changes? I've been trying to tighten up the format. It's really flattering when you hear people tell you what's wrong with your show. The fact that someone would take the time out of their day to analyze something *I* do, and then report on it for me, is heartwarming. I'm being serious. I've spent two years doing this, only getting marginally better over time. Some things happen that bring ChatterBox forward in major leaps, like when Nate joined me and didn't leave three weeks later. Generally, though, it's been a slow trip.
Lately, though, I've had a couple people take the time to tell me what they think is wrong, and how to improve things. Now, anyone can do that, but not many people actually have valuable opinions - A lot of the crap people say is lame, fanboyish, or just poorly thought out. Anyway, we've gotten some really good feedback lately, and I've done a lot of thinking myself. Unfortunately, it's a lot harder to make changes than to talk about them. Things have definitely improved, though, whether you've noticed or not. I'm better prepared, Nate's talking more, and the show is a lot more predictable - in a good way. What I mean is, you know what you're getting when you listen in. What sucks is that we got moved again. This constant timeslot changing is dumb. I'm looking into a way we can get more control over the production of the show. Maybe we'll just go all podCast, all the time. Maybe not. I don't know, but I'm thinking about it. Regardless of what happens, though, I guarantee we'll still do a good show. PS - Have you noticed that any feedback on the show (iTunes, Podcast Alley, ChatterBox forums, etc) is almost exclusively positive? I haven't seen any other gaming talk show with such unanimously good response. You guys are awesome.Only registered users can write comments. Please login or register. Powered by AkoComment 2.0! |
