Newsflash
You've heard us talk about Golgotron.com on the show before. Well, it's here, and we're trying to make a big splash (whoa, see the pic? "Splash"... you see what I did there?) Head on over to read our stories, peek at the latest gallery, and connect with our community in the forums.
Alon can also be found on Twitter from time to time. Why not go see what he's been thinking?
What makes this episode so awesome? There's some mad conflict between Ara and the bunch because he doesn't like that Fight Night Round 4 doesn't have traditional controls. He then goes on to explain why Microsoft is out of line to suggest that the controller is the barrier to mass market gaming. We also talk a bit about Prototype, Zenimax and id, PAX, and child pornography - it's a well-rounded show.
When CEOs say stupid things, ChatterBox is here to pick up the pieces - even Rich could see through Kotick's lame claim that Activision Blizzard might stop supporting the PS3. Once the surprise has warn off, Ara tells us what brings him joy in games... and what doesn't. Finally, Alon explains how Nintendo screwed up with the Wii and why they'll be the next ones to release a new console.
Not at all bothered by the fact that Rich is a dbag, the crew gets all academic analyzing why Ara's design students have difficulty being critical with the games they love. Then we tell you why Valve's community is in such an uproar over the Left 4 Dead 2 announcement. Finally, Ara gives us a feel for Project: Natal after getting to give it a test drive in his super-secret underground labARAtory.
After we get away from the unexpected subject of the Hyper Neo Geo 64, we whine about Sony's history of lies and their most recent BS claim that Final Fantasy XIV is exclusive to the PlayStation 3. Surprisingly, we don't whine about the Wii MotionPlus accessory. Aside from a little more E3 chatter, we call a ballsy listener who really wants to go to the San Diego Comic Con and continue the recent trend of trivia by Ara.
Alon joins Ara and Rich, all the way from E3, to talk about the amazing new claims Sony and Microsoft are slinging this year. Can you spot the heightened expectations? It's right there, just in front of the sea of disappointment.
